1. Who We Are

This website, Hispanics250.com, is operated by Global Hispanic Council, a non-profit organization based in the United States. The website serves as the digital home for “America 250: Hispanic Vision,” a cultural project celebrating the 250th anniversary of the United States through four key verticals: The American Dream: Hispanic Voices, Hispanic Leaderships Summit, America 250: Hispanic Gala Celebration, and Sincronía Open Sky Museum.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide Voluntarily

When you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect:

  • Your email address
  • Your name (if you choose to provide it)

This is the only personal data we actively request from users.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you visit our website, we automatically collect certain technical data through analytics tools:

  • IP address (anonymized)
  • Browser type and version
  • Operating system
  • Pages visited and time spent on each page
  • Referring website (how you found us)
  • Geographic location (country and city level)

  • Newsletter: To send you updates about America 250: Hispanic Vision, including project news, event announcements, and sponsor highlights.
  • Analytics: To understand how visitors interact with our website, improve user experience, and measure the reach of our cultural project.
  • Search Console: To monitor our website’s performance in Google Search and identify technical issues.

We do not use your data for profiling, automated decision-making, or any purpose beyond what is stated in this policy.

4. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Union or European Economic Area, we process your personal data on the following legal bases:

  • Consent: Newsletter subscription (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). You may withdraw consent at any time.
  • Legitimate Interests: Website analytics to improve our digital experience (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

5. Cookies and Analytics Tools

5.1 Google Analytics 4 (GA4)

We use Google Analytics 4 to analyze website traffic. GA4 uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to collect aggregated, anonymized data about user behavior. We have configured GA4 with IP anonymization enabled.

Google Analytics may transfer data to Google servers in the United States. This transfer is governed by Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.

5.2 Google Search Console

We use Google Search Console to monitor website performance in Google Search. Search Console does not use cookies on your browser and does not collect personal data from visitors. It provides aggregated search performance data directly from Google.

5.3 No Other Tracking Technologies

We do not use advertising cookies, social media pixels, retargeting tools, or any tracking technology beyond the two tools described above.

6. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We may share your information only in the following limited circumstances:

  • Service Providers: We use third-party services (such as our email platform for newsletters) who process data on our behalf under data processing agreements.
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid legal requests.
  • Business Transfers: In the event of a merger or acquisition, personal data may be transferred as part of that transaction.

7. Data Retention

We retain your data as follows:

  • Newsletter email addresses: Until you unsubscribe or request deletion.
  • Analytics data: As configured in Google Analytics (default: 14 months for user-level data).

If we become aware that a child has provided us with personal information, we will delete it immediately. Global Hispanic Council is based in the United States. If you are accessing our website from outside the US, please be aware that your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States. We take appropriate measures to ensure your data is treated securely.
