Conceived as part of AMERICA250: A Hispanic Vision, the film examines how one of the most influential ideas in modern history has been interpreted, reimagined, and kept alive across generations, while helping shape the development of the United States itself. Through interviews with leaders, entrepreneurs, creators, educators, community builders, and cultural voices, the documentary explores the American Dream not as a fixed definition, but as a living and evolving promise. Hispanic voices become the lens through which broader questions are examined: What changed and what remained? How can an idea evolve continuously for 250 years and yet remain recognizable? And what role will it continue to play in America’s future?
Combining personal stories, historical reflection, institutional perspectives, and cinematic storytelling, the film traces the relationship between aspiration, opportunity, mobility, identity, and possibility across different eras of American history. Rather than telling the story of a single community, it explores a larger American story through the experiences, perspectives, and contributions of Hispanic voices.
Directed by Pablo Bujosa and Alex Loras, and produced by José Mari Martínez, the documentary brings together extensive experience in documentary filmmaking, journalism, storytelling, and international cultural projects.
